The entire “Toy Story” gang is come back and in Hawaii! Okay, not really in Hawaii, but Bonnie's bedroom.
Entertainment Weekly has the first images of the upcoming six-minute short called, “Hawaiian Vacation,” which will precede “Cars 2” in theaters on June 24.
“Woody becomes kind of like what’s-his-name on ‘Love Boat’…Captain Stubing!” said director Gary Rydstrom to EW.
The short’s plot is “when Barbie and Ken bunble plans to stow away on a tropical excursion, Woody, Buzz & Co. recreate a romantic getaway in the toy box” for them.
“As toys who get played with all the time, they have a pretty good imagination,” added Rydstrom. “When it’s time for a little playacting, they’re good at it.”
